I hope that these emails and prayers are useful, and that you are able to spend a few minutes at noon each day, as we pray together as a church family.  Please do keep sending your prayer suggestions to me, so that we can make sure we are praying around the needs, burdens and encouragements of our whole church family.

This week the Operation World prayer calendar asks us to spend the week praying for Indonesia.  Further links containing information about Indonesia are at the bottom of this post.

Monday

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)

Thank you, Jesus, that you came to take the burden of our sin, and let us walk through this life free of it and with you beside us. Please would you help us to trust you with our weariness and our other burdens, and to know they are safe in your loving hands. Amen

Tuesday

Loving Father, Please protect and encourage those who are still shielding. At a time when they are lacking in human contact, please assure them of your presence. As they miss friends and wider family, seeing others begin to meet, please give them your comfort. And as they fear for their health, please bless them with your peace. Amen

Wednesday

Eternal and loving Lord, teach us to remember that life is short and to seek after heavenly wisdom. Grant that, though our bodies grow weak, we may increase in spiritual strength; so that, trusting ourselves to your care and mercy, we may accept your will and at the last enter into the joy of your eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Thursday

God of hope, we ask you to care for those working in pubs, restaurants and coffee shops as they reopen for customers. We pray for patience, understanding and safety for staff and customers. Amen

Friday

Father of all, we pray for the people working for Barnabus Fund who are helping Christians all over the world. We especially pray this week for those who are helping to provide and take food to people in India who have been denied government rations because they are Christians. Amen

Saturday

Loving Jesus, as our buildings have opened for prayer this week, we thank you for everyone who helped to make the buildings safe to open, and we pray for everyone who has visited them. Please would the buildings, and the leaflets that were offered to those who came, be blessings that bring people closer to you. Amen
