Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? (John 14:1-2)
God’s people are made, loved, and saved by God. We are not just saved now, but destined for an eternity with God.
Remember that the clocks go back at 2am on Sunday morning
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:17)
We’re continuing our look at who we are. We've seen that we are made by God, and loved by God. This Sunday, we're going to look at how our loving, creator God saves his chosen people.
In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will (Ephesians 1:4-5)
We’re continuing our look at who we are. The Bible says that we are loved by God, and that love is what means we have been chosen for adoption as his children. Can there be anything greater than knowing we are loved by God?
Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness' (Genesis 1:26)
Who am I? The question of identity is one that affects all of us. Who we are, where we come from, and what we are made for, are fundamental questions for each one of us. Over the next few weeks we will be looking at what the Bible says about who we are, and why it matters.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. (John 1:12-13)
This Sunday is a Confirmation service. At our 10:30 service, we’ll be joined by the Bishop of Ebbsfleet who will be confirming Abigail, Ed, Jemima and Thomas. Please do be praying for them as they prepare for confirmation and in the days and weeks to come.
