[Jesus] replied: ‘Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, “I am he,” and, “The time is near.” Do not follow them. When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.’

Stand firm, and you will win life. (Luke 21:10-11, 19, NIV)

In our service we will remember the sacrifices made to save us and the hope we can have for a better future. We'd love you to join us to find out more.

You would be very welcome to be part of our Act of Remembrance and short service at 10:50am at the Northaw memorial. Please note that there will be no 9am service this Sunday.

Children’s Church

There is no Children's Church this Sunday.

St Thomas Update

We have been granted an urgent faculty to remove the west window for its protection and preservation. Scaffolding should go up in the coming weeks, and work to remove the window will begin in January 2027.

Remembrance Sunday

Our Remembrance Sunday service is at 10:50am at St Thomas, this Sunday (8th November). The whole service will take place outside the church building, at the memorial.

St Andrew’s Day

On Monday 30th November, there will be a service to mark St Andrew’s day. As in previous years, this will be followed by a fish and chip supper. More details to follow; there will be a sign-up sheep available at the back of St Andrew from Wednesday, or talk to Chris, the vicar.

Work from Church Friday

Do you work from home during the week, or know someone that does? Next Friday (13th November) is our ‘Work from church Friday’ in St Andrew from 9am to 3pm. Coffee, wi-fi and company available.

Royal Mail Collection Point

The PCC have applied for a faculty for the installation of a Royal Mail collection point outside the Undercroft. We see this as making provision for the local community and helping to make the church a central community point. More details are on our website.

Wednesday Service

Every Wednesday, we have a short service in St Andrew's at 10am, you would be very welcome.

Rotas

We very much value and appreciate all the different people that welcome and help with refreshments, and the different voices that we hear from the front. We always welcome new people to these roles, even if infrequently, and we have some spaces at the moment. If you don’t already help, and this would be something you would like to do, please talk to Chris.

We’re currently using self-signup for the various rotas: blank rotas will be pinned up at the back of St Andrew. If you are one of our regular welcomers, readers, pray-ers, communion assistants, or refreshment helpers, please do sign up where you are able to.

Rotas for services in November and December are now available. Readings are pinned on the board for you to take.

Bible Reading Resources

There are a lot of resources available online to help with Bible reading. A few of them are here, in case they are helpful for you.

Home Communion

If you’re not able to join us on Sundays, and would appreciate a visit with Holy Communion, please be in touch with Chris.

Coffee Shop

Our weekly Coffee Shop will be taking place this Wednesday from 10:30 in St Andrew, you are very welcome to join us.
