When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. (Acts 2:1-4, NIV)
The day of Pentecost marks the arrival of the promised Holy Spirit on the disciples, allowing them to proclaim the good news of Jesus to all people around the world. At his ascension, Jesus gave his people a job to do, and promised them a helper to do it. At Pentecost, we celebrate the arrival of the Holy Spirit - the arrival of the promised helper. Why not join us to find out more about Jesus and the Holy Spirit?

As we continue in the Easter season, the focus remains on the risen Lord Jesus. He is alive, and that changes everything. In the passage for Sunday, Stephen, one of the first disciples, is about to be stoned for talking about Jesus. As he faces death, he sees the risen Jesus and, as he dies, entrusts his life to him. For Stephen, the risen Jesus makes a difference not just for now but also for eternity. Why not join us this Sunday and find out more?

As we continue in the Easter season, the focus remains on the risen Lord Jesus. He is alive, and that changes everything. What does it change for us? As we live some 2,000 years later, what difference does the risen Jesus make to us as a church?
