All services are now in St Thomas.

Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? (Luke 13:18, NIV)

What is the kingdom of God like? It's a great question - it's a vital question! If we are part of the kingdom of God, we should know what it's like. If we want others to be part of the kingdom of God, they need to know what it's like as well. Why not come along this Sunday and see how suprising and amazing the kingdom of God is?

You would be very welcome at our 10:30am service in St Thomas, Northaw or at 9am for a service of Holy Communion in St Thomas, Northaw, this Sunday.

With our move to St Thomas, we haven't been able to get our streaming set up working. The internet available to use isn't good enough to stream from the church. We are still looking at solutions and, if we are able to put it in place, we will do so.

Children’s Church

There is no children’s church this Sunday, as we all meet together in St Thomas.

Vacancies

Following our annual meetings we have a vacancy for two churchwardens and one representatives on the Deanery Synod (and a treasurer). If you’d like to know more about them (without any commitment), please talk to Chris.

Foodbank

The next foodbank collection will be Wednesday 3rd September. You’re welcome to bring donations to St Thomas at our Sunday service, or to be in touch with Gill Hall (gillhall2526@gmail.com, 01707 874872) to arrange delivery or collection.

Rotas

We very much value and appreciate all the different people that welcome and help with refreshments, and the different voices that we hear from the front. We always welcome new people to these roles, even if infrequently, and we have some spaces at the moment. If you don’t already help, and this would be something you would like to do, please talk to Chris.

We’re currently using self-signup for the various rotas: blank rotas will be pinned up at the back of St Thomas. If you are one of our regular welcomers, readers, pray-ers, communion assistants, or refreshment helpers, please do sign up where you are able to.

Rotas for services in August and September are now available.

Gala Day

As part of our St Andrew's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, the church will be hosting a Gala Day on Saturday 20 September from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. There will be Stalls, Competitions, Games for all ages, Children's Craft Centre and Afternoon Tea will be served in the Undercroft. Please come along with your friends, family and neighbours for an afternoon of fun. All funds raised will go towards the new healing system in the Church.

Heating work at St Andrew’s

The work at St Andrew’s has begun. The first stage has been to clear the area and start to lay the new floor. You can follow the progress of the work online. We are currently planning to be back in the building on Sunday the 21st of September.

60 Years of St Andrew’s

The current St Andrew’s building was consecrated on 30th November, 1965. To mark and celebrate 60 years of the building, we are planning a range of events during the year, culminating in a service on 30th November 2025.
