[James and John] replied, ‘Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory.’ (Mark 10:37)
James and John's request looks innocent enough, except that it is a question about power and authority. They want to be second only to Jesus, when he returns. How will the other disciples take this? How will Jesus answer? How does it help us think about how we view power and authority?

As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. ‘Good teacher,’ he asked, ‘what must I do to inherit eternal life?’ (Mark 10:17)
The man asks one of the most important questions that can be asked "How can I have eternal life?" How does Jesus answer him? Is the answer the same for us?

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)
This Sunday is our Harvest service. At 10:30, we’ll be collecting donations for Broxbourne Foodbank, and we’re also being joined by Northaw School’s Choir.
