All services are now in St Thomas.
Nehemiah said to the king, ‘May the king live for ever! Why should my face not look sad when the city where my ancestors are buried lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?’ (Nehemiah 2:3, NIV)
We're beginning a short series looking at the book of Nehemiah. Nehemiah is part of the exiled Jewish nation in the Old Testament. He longs to see the city of Jerusalem rebuilt after its destruction. He prays, he plans, and he trusts in God's provision for him. As we look at the reordering of St Andrew's, and hold our annual meetings, why not join us as we pray, plan, and trust in God's ultimate provision for us?
You would be very welcome at our 10:30am service in St Thomas, Northaw or at 9am for a service of Holy Communion in St Thomas, Northaw, this Sunday.
With our move to St Thomas, we haven't been able to get our streaming set up working. The internet available to use isn't good enough to stream from the church. We are still looking at solutions and, if we are able to put it in place, we will do so.
Children’s Church
Our children’s church meets this Sunday morning in Northaw School. Children are welcome from 10:20, and will join us in St Thomas towards the end of the service.
Annual Meetings
Our Annual Meetings this year are scheduled to take place this Sunday (25 May), after the 10:30 service. At the meetings, we will elect churchwardens and PCC members, as well as hear reports from the previous year.
As part of the preparations for the meetings, a new Electoral Roll has been prepared. Forms are available in the 'Belonging' booklet, available at the back of St Thomas, however new applications will be processed after the annual meetings.
More details are available on our website. This page will be kept up to date with all the information and forms needed.
Ascension Day
Our Ascension Day service is at 9:30am on Thursday 29th May in St Thomas.
Gala Day
The timing of the works in St Andrew’s has meant that we have decided to postpone the planned Gala Day from 21 June to 20 September. We will be combining it with the planned Flower Festival.
Heating work at St Andrew’s
The work at St Andrew’s has begun. The first stage has been to clear the area and start to lay the new floor. You can follow the progress of the work online.
60 Years of St Andrew’s
The current St Andrew’s building was consecrated on 30th November, 1965. To mark and celebrate 60 years of the building, we are planning a range of events during the year, culminating in a service on 30th November 2025.
Bible Reading Resources
There are a lot of resources available online to help with Bible reading. A few of them are here, in case they are helpful for you.
