I hope that these emails and prayers are useful, and that you are able to spend a few minutes at noon each day, as we pray together as a church family. Please do keep sending your prayer suggestions to me, so that we can make sure we are praying around the needs, burdens and encouragements of our whole church family.
Monday
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?
My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, but I find no rest.” (Psalm 22:1-2)
Lord, let your word be not something I believe but something that dwells richly inside me, so it reshapes all my thinking and feelings and even the very foundations of my heart. Let your promises, summonses, and declarations be my strength. Amen. (from My Rock; My Refuge, Timothy Keller)

Tuesday
May the angels of Heaven protect me this day,
And circle me with the fragrance of peace.
May Christ my Lord and loving friend protect me this day,
And circle me with affection and love.
May the Spirit of truth who dwells in my heart, protect me this day,
And circle me and fill me with joy and peace. Amen.

Wednesday
“But you, Lord, do not be far from me.
You are my strength; come quickly to help me.” (Psalm 22:19)
Sustainer of the universe, we pray today for those who are tired. Whether their jobs are demanding, family responsibilities seem heavy and without respite, loneliness seems without hope, or for any other reason, please would you lift them by your Spirit. Help us all to take our eyes off the difficulties we face, and instead to fix them joyfully on you, as we take each next step along the path you have given us. Amen.

Thursday
Almighty and eternal God, have mercy on those who are sick. In their days of weakness strengthen their faith, lead them to repentance, and teach them to live the rest of their lives in your fear and to your glory, so that at the last they may live with you in life eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Friday
Eternal God, Creator and Father of all,
We thank you for this wonderful world,
For ever-changing skies, the blessed winds, and the earth beneath our feet.
We thank you that your Son gave life’s loveliness in sacrifice for us.
In our turn, and in great humility, we offer our lives.
All that we do and all that we say, we give in joyful and willing service to You. Amen.

Saturday
“Posterity will serve him;
future generations will be told about the Lord.
They will proclaim his righteousness,
declaring to a people yet unborn:
He has done it!” (Psalm 22:30-31)
Lord, would you help us to continue to live well for you this week, and to remember why we follow you. We pray for conversations with others that will help your goodness and love to be shared. We pray for opportunities to share your hope with those around us; please give us the words we need for every circumstance. Amen
Please pray again today for Lebanon.
