Monday
Thank you God for the story of Ruth, and the way you provided for those who trusted themselves you, through the abundantly generous Boaz. Thank you, Lord, for your abundance to us, in providing for our daily needs, and even more, for our eternal life in Christ. Please would you help us to show your love and grace generously, in practical help and in caring for those who need it in our lives. Amen

Lord, we remember before you all who are world-weary,
we pray for those who are weary of serving others,
for those who are weary of their own lives,
for lives that lack love, joy or peace,
for all who have lost hope.
We pray for healers and for peacemakers.
We remember all who are in sickness.

God of all the nations, would you give special wisdom and loving care this week to those who are dealing with international cooperation, particularly the Brexit negotiations. Would you enable those who are involved to keep working for good, and would you please bring good for all concerned out of the difficult conversations. Amen

Father, we pray for our church family today. Please would you give us your own great love for each other, and help us to build each other up and encourage each other as we walk together with you. Please help us to look after each other, and especially to care for those among us who are lonely or in need. Thank you for making us a family; please help us to be family to each other. Amen
