I hope that this email is useful, and that you are able to spend a few minutes at noon each day, as we pray together as a church family. Please do keep sending your prayer suggestions to me, so that we can make sure we are praying around the needs, burdens and encouragements of our whole church family.
Praying for the Parish
Please pray this week for all in these roads:

The Collect for 24 - 29 May
God, who as at this time
taught the hearts of your faithful people
by sending to them the light of your Holy Spirit:
grant us by the same Spirit
to have a right judgement in all things
and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort;
through the merits of Christ Jesus our Saviour,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen
Monday
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:38-39
Almighty God, who on this day
didst open the way of eternal life
to every race and nation
by the promised gift of thy Holy Spirit:
Shed abroad this gift throughout the world
by the preaching of the Gospel,
that it may reach to the ends of the earth;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth
with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Tuesday
Lord, at this time of Pentecost, we pray for your Spirit to work in us in Northaw and Cuffley and in the communities and networks we live in: softening our hearts to hear your words in our lives; strengthening us to serve you and those around us in good times and bad; and giving us courage to speak of you to those around us, in your name, and for your glory. Amen
Please also pray today for French Guiana.
Wednesday
Father God, we continue to pray for India, as COVID continues to spread around the country and resources for treatment become even more scarce. We do not always know how to pray, but we do know that there is no depth of pain and suffering that you cannot reach with your love and compassion. Please be the light in that darkness. Amen
Please continue to pray today for French Polynesia.
Thursday
Father, we give you thanks for the gift of eternal life.
May we know in our lives that the crucified one is alive and comes to us;
turn our doubts and disbelief into awe and wonder,
until we rejoice in the glory and presence of the risen Lord.
Amen.
Please continue to pray today for Gabon.
Friday
We thank you, Lord, for the good that has come out of lockdown. Thank you for communities that have got to know each other and supported each other through this challenging time. Please would this continue; make us a more compassionate and supportive nation. Amen.

Saturday
Almighty and eternal God, you alone work great marvels: send down your Holy Spirit on all bishops and pastors and the congregations they serve. And, so that we may all truly please you, pour on us the continual dew of your blessing. Grant this, O Lord, for the honour of our advocate and mediator, Jesus Christ. Amen.
