I hope that these emails and prayers are useful, and that you are able to spend a few minutes at noon each day, as we pray together as a church family. Please do keep sending your prayer suggestions to me, so that we can make sure we are praying around the needs, burdens and encouragements of our whole church family.
Operation World this week asks for continued prayer for India. In case you would prefer to vary your prayers, we have also included daily links below for some of the countries that were listed in the calendar before we joined this prayer list.
Monday
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you … And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 5:6-7, 10-11)
Father God, thank you that whatever we are going through, we are eternally safe in your hands. Please help us to trust you through everything, to leave all our worries with you, and to live with humility and for your glory. Amen

Wednesday
Lord Jesus, We remember all those who were due to sit GCSE and A level exams this summer, and are living in great uncertainty about how COVID may have affected their future. Please would you give them peace about their exam results, fulfilling activities and hobbies to fill their time, and prevent them from sinking into depression, anxiety or stress about their future. For those in both primary and secondary schools who are missing expected landmark events as they end a season of their education, please would you help them to know fulfillment in you instead. Amen

Thursday
Almighty Father, we pray for the continents where COVID-19 cases are still rising: Africa, South Asia, and South America. Help us, and the people who are affected there, to look to you and to trust you even when we do not understand. We pray especially for strength and stamina for medical and NGO workers in refugee camps, city slums, and other places which were already hard even before COVID. Amen
Please pray today for American Samoa.
Friday
God of comfort and reconciliation, We pray for homes where there is strife, and relationships are at breaking point. We pray for those who are over-anxious and no longer coping on their own. We come with all our burdens and needs Lord we come to you for refreshment and peace. Amen.

Saturday
Lord, give us open eyes to see the needs of others,
Acute ears to hear the cries of those in need,
Ready lips to speak for those who have no voice,
Gentle hands to heal the wounds of the vulnerable.
And determined feet to walk humbly with you
And follow in your way. Amen.
